The general meeting of the Etowah High PTSA was held in the old Gym at Etowah High School. Kim Overy, President, presided over the meeting.  Kim established that a quorum was present.  The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

Kim Overy welcomed staff, parents and students to the meeting.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

The minutes from the April 21, 2009 General Meeting were distributed and reviewed.  Valerie Johnson moved for the minutes to be approved as written.

The minutes were approved.

Cathy Wallner reported a current income for the year of $14,290.58 with total expenses to date of $7,254.42.  The balance of the checking account is currently $7,036.16.

No previous or old business.

NEW BUSINESS

Cathy Wallner reported that the audit of the 2008-2009 financial records was completed by Letitia Smith. She also reported that all items pertaining to our financial records were reported in a proper manner and no errors were found by Ms. Smith. There being no discussion, Lisa Gannon moved to adopt the audit report. The audit report was adopted.

Cathy Wallner distributed the proposed budget for review.

This budget was recommended by the Budget Committee who met on August 28, 2009. Members of the special called committee are: Lisa Gannon, Cathy Keith, Kim Overy, Deena Smith, and Cathy Wallner, all current or former PTA treasurers.

There being no discussion, Beth Choppa moved to adopt the proposed budget.

The budget was adopted.
